Since 1991 Culinary Institute of America trained Chef Tom Pickett at the Kilauea Bakery & Pizza enthusiastically prepares food and serves his customers. His love for cultivating sourdough breads, personally crafting charcuterie and creating recipes with Hawaii's tropical fruits and vegetables is only matched by his enthusiasm as a host.
With a wide variety of toppings to choose from, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options, you really can’t go wrong. And don’t miss the opportunity to try one of his specialty pies. The Island Stylin’, a traditional ham and fresh pineapple pizza with a dab of chipotle pepper is always popular, but adventurous palates should try the local favorite, the Billie Holliday – smoked ono (wahoo), spinach, roasted onions, gorgonzola rosemary sauce, and mozzarella.
